Senior schools in the UK use the 11+ exams to assess students for entry into Year 7. Children are tested in Maths, English and reasoning in January of Year 6. Many schools have their own examinations and differ slightly in their approach, so it’s important to know the requirements of each school. Some schools will also interview candidates as part of the selection process; usually this is not until the child has passed the written entrance exams.
